Full day trips

The sailing ship Pulcinella: excursions to the islands of the  La Maddalena Archipelago

The sailing ship Pulcinella is a period wooden sailing ship dating from 1927 with characteristic red sails, and on which it is possible to spend an entire day enjoying the emotions felt by ancient explorers looking for new lands to conquer.

An exclusive on-board service and an expert crew will take you around the  Islands of the La Maddalena Archipelago and the North Coast of Gallura with stop-offs at Budelli on the Cavaliere beach  and Spargi island. Depending on weather conditions, the itinerary may alter to include a visit to the Isola Piana in Corsica.

A delicious “5 star” lunch will be served on board  with a seafood menu and selected typical local products, accompanied by an excellent wine from the Gallura hills.

The tour makes use of the engine for the outward leg while the sails are used for the return.

Mini-cruise to Corsica

The Mini-cruise to Corsica is a unique opportunity to discover some of the most delightful destinations of the Corsican Archipelago as far as the typical small town of Bonifacio. This excursion, with fast motorboats has a maximum of 12 guests per boat.

The circular itinerary starts from the harbour at  Cala Capra and hugs the shoreline passing below the famous Roccia dell’Orso  and the North Coast of Palau until after a brief stop at the Resort Valle dell’Erica, it reaches Bonifacio for a visit to the old historic centre and a romantic stroll along the narrow streets crowded with shops and little bars. Crossing the Straits of Bonifacio is always exciting, the more so when there is the chance to see dolphins, tuna and on rare occasions even whales.

The excursion continues along the south-east coast of Capo Pertusato, passing below the limestone cliffs to reach Punta Sperone and the characteristic tongue of sand that is Isola Piana for a first swimming stop.

After a delicious lunch, the next destination is the Island of Lavezzi for another stop. It is possible to discover the island and its little bays thanks to a delightful path, or else you can simply relax on the beach, have an invigorating swim or discover the enchanting sea depths with mask and snorkel.

The return to the Residence Il Mirto is planned for late afternoon after a snack prepared by the crew.

Tour of Gallura

A day dedicated to discovering the Gallura hinterland: an unexpected Sardinia comprising well-preserved ancient traditions, places where history has left its marks over the millennia, and Nature that astonishes and delights.

A hilly landscape enhanced by rich vegetation and the famous holm-oak cork plantations that frame the natural rock sculptures carved out of the granite by the Mistral wind.

The itinerary travels across the Gallurese countryside which is famous for its “Stazzi” in order to arrive at Luogosanto the geographical centre of the area, a charming small inland town.

Travelling through beautiful panoramic countryside, we reach the hermitage at San Trano from where there is a magnificent view as far as nearby Corsica. From here we continue to the small town of Aggius for a visit to the MEOC, the largest and best ethnographic museum in Sardinia, and to the Banditry Museum, the only one in Italy. After a rewarding stop in the open to enjoy a light lunch, we continue with a visit to the ancient archaeological remains of the Nuraghe Maiori at Tempio Pausania, a majestic symbol of Sardinia and the island’s history. During the tour there is also the chance to enjoy a snack tasting with local products and the accompaniment of our expert guides.

The trip lasts about 7 hours.
