We are in the North of Sardinia and more precisely at Palau on the eastern side of the Island where there is a spectacular view of the La Maddalena Archipelago, Caprera and the Costa Smeralda.
Travelling from Palau for about 4 kms along the main 123 road, you arrive at one of the best-known destinations in the whole of Sardinia: the promontory at Capo d'Orso, which takes its name from the huge granite boulder that sits atop the most panoramic point. Over the centuries the wind has eroded this imposing rock in such a way that it resembles a giant bear.
At 600 meters from the small granite peninsula of Capo d'Orso, is Cala Capra. Literally overlooking the La Maddalena Archipelago and facing the Costa Smeralda, Cala Capra is bathed by a crystal clear sea, whose colour includes an infinite number of shades of blue. It is a genuine oasis because just back from the sea and a sandy white beach is an almost untouched park full of typical dense Mediterranean vegetation.
Cala Capra, just a short distance from Palau, is the perfect place for a holiday by the sea for all the family, thanks to the sea which gets deeper little by little, thus allowing children to play in it in complete safety.
